Power of Purple

A storm blew the waves across the sea to me The lilac sea, so strong, so veiled So vast, so tender, so deep for me Come closer. Who knows the ocean, the lilac water? Who knows? Listen to me. Who knows the power of purple? The drunken swell of blue Turned red with cold? Not me I’m a diver, diving low Beneath a sea that shares its secrets alone with me. A storm blew the waves across the sea to me Who knows how fierce it was? Who knows how deep it was? Not the diver, not the water Only the ocean on a lilac shore knows the power of purple.
