Lee Johnson (he/his) is retired and lives with his family in Suburban Chicago. He has worked two careers—as a classroom teacher of Special Needs students in both public and private schools, as well as, a landscaper in commercial and public lands maintenance. He has a childhood bilateral hearing loss and uses a cochlear implant and hearing aid. He identifies as having possible Asperger Syndrome. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, gardening, writing, walking, reading short speculative fiction.

Recently, he completed an MFA in the Poetry at the creative writing program of Columbia College Chicago.
